Employment Planning & Preparation

Every new client is assigned a counsellor who assists in developing an action plan by providing a comfortable one-on-one session to review their employment and vocational goals.  The counsellor will then follow-up with the client through the action plan, as it is developed, making changes as time passes and/or as the client's needs change.  The counsellor also provides follow-up contact to all clients during and after service.

Individuals interested in our services meet a counsellor for an intake/assessment.  Strengths, barriers, short and long-term goals, as well as an action plan are discussed. Referrals are made to programs within the agency or to programs in the community where appropriate.
